The Installation: Tackling the "Drilling" Anxiety
One of the most valuable parts of JYL’s video is his clear explanation of the mounting points. Many riders worry about drilling into their ski, but JYL shows exactly where the bolts go—without compromising the hull.
"It's not going to go in the actual hull itself... just under the ski, you have a bit of a groove... the overlapping fiberglass area that protrudes."
Integration with Sea-Doo Dock Ties
JYL had pre-installed Sea-Doo original retractable dock ties and didn’t want to lose that convenience. Instead of removing them, he found a clever way to install the collars around them.
"I don't have to carry around the bumpers... basically, this replaces that. So that's one less cargo on my jet ski."
The Wet Test: Stability and Spray Deflection
On the water, the benefits were immediate. JYL walked along the collar to test stability—it performed flawlessly.
The biggest improvement for the Fish Pro was spray deflection. In choppy conditions, the collars redirected water sideways, keeping the rider much drier.
